Penang Bus is built to respect your privacy. The app requires no account, contains no advertising or third-party analytics, and does not collect, store, or share any personal information about you. This policy explains exactly how the app handles data.
Information we collect
None. Penang Bus does not ask you to register or sign in, and does not collect names, email addresses, contacts, identifiers, or any other personal information.
Location
If you choose to enable location access, your device's location is used only on your device to show your position on the map relative to nearby buses. Your location never leaves your device — it is not transmitted to us or to anyone else, and it is not stored. You can use the app without granting location access, and you can revoke it at any time in iOS Settings.
Bus and route data
Live bus positions, routes and timetables are read from a public transit data feed. These requests send only what is technically required to fetch transit data (such as a route selection) and contain no personal information about you.
Analytics and tracking
There are none. The app includes no advertising SDKs, no third-party analytics, no tracking, and no cookies.
Children's privacy
Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children.

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
